Anzan Zen
Numbers flash. Say the total.
A calm mental math trainer built around flash anzan, the Japanese abacus drill. Numbers flash one at a time, you add them in your head and say the total out loud. Climb from a few single digits to fifteen 3-digit numbers in 3 seconds, or switch to Dictation and add by ear. Made by the studio behind Math Zen.

Features
03- 01
Flash Anzan, 20 Levels
Numbers appear one by one and vanish, then you give the sum. Single-digit warm-ups lead into 20 levels from 10 kyu to 10 dan, or set your own count, digits and speed. The levels follow the published Japanese exam tables and are not an official certification.
- 02
Dictation and Chain
In Dictation the screen stays blank while the phone reads the numbers aloud, from 6 kyu to 1 kyu. Chain is a running total through + − × ÷ that you hold in your head, on screen or read aloud.
- 03
Answer by Voice
Just say the number and keep your eyes on the drill. Speech recognition comes from Apple or Google; Anzan Zen never records or stores audio. The keypad is always there for quiet places.
How It Works
03- 01
Pick a Game
Flash, Dictation or Chain, then a level. New players start on the first warm-up.
- 02
Watch or Listen
Numbers flash on screen or are read aloud. Keep the total in your head, not on paper.
- 03
Say the Total
One wrong total ends the run. Each level and setting keeps its own record of totals in a row.
Just You and the Numbers
Anzan Zen keeps your settings and records on your device, and nothing else.
- No account, no ads, no tracking. Anonymous usage diagnostics only if you turn them on.
- Voice answers are optional. Audio is never recorded or stored; the recognized text is used only to check your answer.
- Free: both chains, the warm-ups, Flash levels 1 to 5, Dictation level 1, and voice answers in every game.
- Pro is one purchase, no subscription: Flash levels 6 to 20 with custom settings, and Dictation levels 2 to 6.
